As we all know by now, the UGA vs. OU New Year's Day Rose Bowl Game in Los Angeles California was a major win for Georgia's football program. With a tie game at 48 points in double OT, senior Running Back, Sony Michel, went for the golden touchdown to seal the deal on a sweet victory for the Bulldogs.

The details prior to that absolutely flawless winning touchdown barely even matter at this point.

Meanwhile in NOLA, Clemson and Alabama face off at the 2018 Sugar Bowl semifinals. Alabama's shocking win, which ultimately set the stage for the National championship game, set to take place January 8, 2018 at the brand new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA.

Outside of the game itself, football fans, more specifically the fans who fall under 1 of 2 categories: #GoDawgs or #Rolltide, have some exciting things to look forward to this  upcoming Monday.

#01. The beloved Bulldogs are coming home!

Granted, Athens is approximately 70 miles outside of Atlanta, UGA is obviously a notable state landmark and a national treasure, especially after their epic win at this year's Rose Bowl game. As a Georgia fan myself, I'm so proud of those boys. They're bringing the heat for Alabama on home turf and it really doesn't get much more exciting that that.

#02. Georgia vs. Alabama is a southern delicacy.

I don't know if it's a below the Bible belt type of tradition or what, but this is one of the biggest known rivalries in college sports and now both teams have an opportunity to play each other on a national championship level. Now if only I could afford dishing out a couple of stacks for a last minute ticket...that would be something.

#03. Who doesn't love a free concert?

Yes. You heard it right...the Kendrick Lamar is set to perform right across the street at Downtown's gem, the illustrious Centennial Park. The show is of no cost to the general public. Downtown Atlanta on a good day is a traffic nightmare, so one can only imagine the pandemonium that will take place all weekend and well into Monday night.

#04. A historical win for both Teams

If Georgia wins, this would be their first National Championship victory in 38 years. If Alabama wins, it will be another flashy trophy to add to their lofty collection, as well their 7th title since 1988. The Bulldogs have a lot to live up to, especially considering Alabama held the SEC championship title just 3 years ago.

#05.

We get to witness a replay of the magic that is Nick Chubb and Sony Michel.

Watching these two perform on a national stage for the first time in their collegiate career is likely going to be one of the most exciting component's of Monday night's game. UGA alum and RB for the Los Angeles Rams, Todd Gurley seems to believe Georgia has the best RB duo in college football - or at least within the Southeastern conference - and I'm pretty sure we can all agree.
