N.E.R.D.'s latest project pushes the envelope to the extreme with visuals for new single featuring Future 1000
/Although there have been quite a few times where an artist pushed the envelope when it came to politics, I've never seen it done quite like this before.
Bold and wildly expressive, the video uses a compilation of live footage as a reference point for the bizarre things that have taken place over the past few years in America. Reliving the traumatizing memories of racial tension displayed in such a beautiful and creative manner, the statement that was being presented was loud and undoubtedly clear. It reminded me of the war zone we live in, even as a privileged country. Every detail - including the choreography scene that was filmed in front of the hotel where Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated - added so much depth. I could literally sense an odd mix of pain and amazement overtake me as I compelled to watch it all unfold.
Great job to N.E.R.D and the entire team responsible for yet another incredible visual from the new album, No_One Ever Really Dies.
