Monday night, the Los Angeles Lakers officially retired Kobe Bryant's jersey. It was such a bittersweet moment, because it was like reliving April 13, 2016 all over again, which was Kobe's last time on the court. Overall, the night was so special and it meant so much to the fans, the organization, and one of the greatest to ever do it.

Kobe Bryant and Kendrick Lamar have both reached the mountaintop in their respective fields, so you'd be wise to listen up when they share how they arrived there. Complex News' Jinx sat down with Kobe and Kendrick at ComplexCon to get their take on what people miss when it comes to truly achieving greatness.

Unfortunately, Lakers lost to Golden State by 2 points on retirement night. What a bomber. I do have faith in the team, but I definitely think it may take a minute for them to get to a place where that faith isn't constantly being tested.

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets are having a phenomenal season, who have yet to lose a single game this season.

Chris Paul told the press after a game recently:

"We want to keep it going. I mean, who likes to lose? [...] I said it before...I hate losing more than I like to win."

Well, that's obvious at this point. Totally different team from last year. As a fan of the game itself, I'm super excited about what's taking place and what the playoff picture will be like for the Houston squad. Give credit where credit is due.

UPDATE:

Looks like LaVar Ball is up to no good again and now wants to launch a basketball league parallel to the NCAA for young athletes who don't necessarily want to go to college; willing to fund up to 10K. I don't know how I feel about it yet, but read the details from the following sources:

It was yet another victorious Sunday for the Philadelphia Eagles. The entire game, pretty much, was a back and forth chase between them and the Giants, which was a little nerve-wrecking. However, we were all relieved that Foles was able to step in and do what he needed to do as a QB. Clearly, there's a solid team in Philadelphia and hopefully they'll continue to take it game-by-game, stay focused, and keep the same energy through playoff season.

Colin Kaepernick, P. Diddy, and Steph Curry have all expressed interested in the ownership of the Carolina Panthers via Twitter, as Jerry Richardson recently announced that he is selling the team.

There are no majority African American NFL owners. Let’s make history. — Diddy (@Diddy) December 18, 2017

I️ want in! https://t.co/XvvC1vo7xI — Stephen Curry (@StephenCurry30) December 18, 2017

I want in on the ownership group! Let’s make it happen! https://t.co/sDR4ciciY8 — Colin Kaepernick (@Kaepernick7) December 18, 2017

Now Kaepernick, I can get behind that idea 2,000%, simply because he knows the business. As far as Diddy is concerned, I don't know how I feel about it. I'm sure it takes more than a cash throw to own a team, right? By the way, what are the qualifications for this kind of thing? Aside from the logistics, it's a pretty dope concept, so I guess we'll just have to see how all of this pans out in reality.
