He Got Game: 11 Reasons Why Atlanta Hawks' Trae Young Deserves to be an NBA All-Star This Year
/Sophomore PG, Trae Young is now up for consideration for NBA All-Stars and there’s no reason why he shouldn’t be. Despite how Hawks’ performance has been this season, his individual stats speak for itself. He touched a career high of 49 points last November [exhibit A] …fresh out of his rookie year and off season! If that’s not impressive, I don’t know what is. It’s also not a prerequisite for players to lead winning teams in order to be candidates for the All-Star Lineup …and never has been.

[exhibit B]
no.06 // Young is a beast offensively, easily putting up at least 25 points per game, and averaging out about 30 ppg and 8.5 assist per game this season alone.
no. 07 // Explosive on the court when it matters the most (see exhibit A)
no. 08 // In addition to being one of the top scorers in the NBA , Young is able to shoot deep shots with such poise and ease, which is a going to be a beautiful thing in the long run with the new 4-pt line. That’s something I’d love to see in the 3-pt contest at the All Star Games this year.
no. 09 // He is fortunate enough to have access to veteran players like the legendary Vince Carter, 8-time NBA All Star, to understudy and who can mentor him.
no. 10 // As dramatic as it sounds, Trae Young is bringing hope back to the community and to Atlanta sports fans. (see exhibit B)
no. 11 // He very rarely misses good passing opportunities and is able to foresee ahead of time in order to deliver the ball efficiently and quickly without interrupting the defense’s ability to even see what’s coming.
