NFL:

After years of standing up and fighting for what's right when it comes to police brutality and the American justice system, Kaepernick finally gets recognized in a major way and receives the Sports Illustrated Muhammad Ali Legacy Award, presented by none other than Beyonce. 

    NBA:
    • Are the bench players better than the starting lineup in OKC? After 3 consecutive wins for Thunder and a close victory against Utah, the players on the bench are starting to prove a point on the court.

    • Speaking of rookies, Donavan Mitchell has a special kind of magic that makes him a force to be reckoned with for the Jazz. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on him in the coming weeks to possibly add to the next rookie update. 
    • Talk is circulating regarding who will be MVP this season. The numbers are currently in favor of Lebron James and James Harden; I'm personally pulling for King James again this year, although there are a few things Harden has over James. 
    • Will Steph Curry be back on the court in time for Christmas? Will KD be able to hold it down for the Warriors during Steph's absence? The answers will unfold these next few games for Golden State.

    In other news: 

    • Nike will be naming two of their new headquarter buildings after Duke University's head basketball coach, Mike Krzyzewski and world champion, Olympic gold medalist, Serena Williams, which will be Nike's largest facility on Nike's Campus and is set to be completed by 2019.
