How These NBA Draft Class of 2017 Picks are Adjusting to the Big League {pt. I}

The NBA Draft class of 2017 are here, suited, and ready to play the game that we've all come to know and love...and they all have a point to prove when it comes to earning their tiger stripes on the court. It's all about individual skill, charisma, and how well they blend with and adjust to the different dynamics of their new teams. and have taken incredible strides in earning their merits as pro-athletes. Not all of them have a father like the Ball Boys in their corner, but they do all seem to have a tremendous support system within and outside of the league.

It's been interesting keeping up with the new boys of the NBA and really getting the chance to witness what they are capable of on this level and how they've been able to tap into the potential that all the coaches/recruiters picked up on during draft season. Because it's a lot to cover with so many outstanding rookies, I've split this up into a mini-series, just to keep each part short and sweet.

01. Los Angeles Lakers no.0-Kyle Kuzma:

One rookie that didn't get enough credit coming into the season was Kyle Kuzma, who is now Los Angeles Lakers' Power Forward. Drafted as the 27th pick for the Brooklyn Nets in 2017, he's out here shining like he should've been number 1. He's already stacked close to 400 career points, shooting 38% from 3-point range, key on the defensive in, and all around one of those players who come off the bench running at full speed. Not sure if it was the late night meetings with King Kobe himself that activated it, but #KuzControl has absolutely been in full effect this season. His recent injury worries coaches and fans alike, but hoping for a speedy recovery, so he is able to get back on the court in better health as soon as possible.

02. Chicago Bulls no.24-Lauri Markkanen:

Aside from the fact that the Bulls have not won a single game this season, Lauri Markkanen is still having a solid rookie season. Standing at 7 feet, his mechanics are well calculated and perfectly executed. During his debut, which was a close, 1-point loss against the Denver Nuggets {111-110}, he put up a total of 20 pts and 9 rebounds in the 32 minutes he was in the game. He's fallen off quite a bit since then with way too many missed opportunities, but it's not entirely his fault. Also, he still has time to improve his game and at the very least, can be molded into a veteran All-Star for this Chicago team.

03. Boston Celtics no.0-Jayson Tatum:

First round pick, Jayson Tatum, has been such a good look for Boston so far this season. He was tossed around quite a bit during the initial stages of the draft, but I do believe he landed in a great place by the time the madness cleared and everything was finalized. Not necessarily a leading scorer, but he plays well as a supporting role to veteran teammates and fits well into the "winning tradition" of the Celtics franchise. Averaging at 13 ppg with an impressive field goal percentage and approximately 16 points per 30 minutes, Tatum is not only incredibly talented, he's a beast at the rim and he's consistent.
