CAR Panthers vs. PHI Eagles
Game of the week was absolutely last night's match up between two of the best teams in the NFC East right now, Philadelphia Eagles and the Carolina Panthers, the ultimate battle between arguably the top 2 Quarterbacks in the league, Carson Wentz and Cam Newton.
Live tweeting the game is always fun, where I'm able to express independent and mutual sentiments with fans and rivals alike. The first points of the game was a 16 yd touchdown for Carolina. To be honest, that was the moment I knew they were going to lose, because Cam Newton was celebrating a little too hard, got caught up in the moment a little too soon, and just being outright cocky. Falcons taught us a thing or two about getting too far ahead of ourselves, but how easily we forget these things.
Moving along, it's wild that Carson Wentz is only in his sophomore season as a professional athlete. This man is absolutely incredible - super focused - who already has the credibility of a veteran leader. It goes without saying, but this does not take away what Cam has been able to accomplish so far in his career. Comparably, Cam had a way more impressive rookie season in 2011 than Wentz did last year. However, Carson came even harder this season and is making it very clear that he is not to be underestimated. By the looks of it, the whole team is following suit.
Last night's game was full of intense, on-edge moments. The officiating crew were trying so hard to hand this game to the Panthers with unnecessary flags and false calls. Although the score {28-23} was too close for comfort, Eagles were able to return home with the victory, placing them at 5-1 in week 6.
